I’ve started keeping a personal nature journal finally. I have always kept little notes, took photos, etc. but never set aside a book just for the purpose of logging my forays into nature. It is wonderful to have a place to note down everything that caught my attention on my walks out in the wilds. It made sense then to make a bird sculpture in honor of nature journals. The writing on the bird is my own thoughts and drawings about some of my favorite kinds of leaves. I love the variety of leaf shapes, colors, etc. I come upon on my nature walks. Those notes I wrote/drew on my used tea bag papers for this sculpture. When I return from a walk I love to have a cup of tea, and write up my notes in my journal. The bird is attached to a sculpted nature journal. This bird sculpture is available in my etsy shop.
